We've been busy

We have been busy the last month...we went to Utah for Thanksgiving and for some much needed family time for me.  It was a wonderful, relaxing trip full of time with my sisters, family, and a few friends.  While we were there, we went ahead and blessed Logan.  We did it at my sister's house and it was a neat, intimate experience.  Troy did a great job.

.We have had Christmas festivities going on the last couple of weeks.  Christmas gets more fun than ever once you have kids to experience it with.

Logan just gets cuter and cuter everyday.  Just looking at him melts my heart in a way that I never thought possible.  I love seeing more of his happy personality coming out more and more.  He has the funniest laugh,  in the beginning, I always thought it was a cry, not a laugh.  He seems to be liking his older brother a little more.  He actually smiles at Stockton when he tries to "play" with him and he can tolerate Stockton's weight on him alot better than he could in the beginning.

Stockton took a couple of good falls that look like they will end up leaving some scars.  I guess its a good thing girls like that...

Four Years

It is hard to believe it has been 4 years since we were here...

What a perfect wedding it was. There isn't a single thing I would have changed.

4 houses, 3 jobs, and 2 kids later, there isnt a thing I would change today either.  Except of course being back in Hawaii with ALL 3 of my Boys!

Thank you, Troy, for making me happy everyday.

Logan's 2 month check up

ince Logan will be 3 months old this week, I thought I better get his 2 month stats posted....He weighed in at almost 14lbs which put him in the 85th percentile. He was also 85th for his head and 50th for his height. He is our little chunky monkey who loves to eat and soak up any attention that he can get as long as it isnt from his "big" brother. I think Stockton's love and affection is really starting to get on his nerves. Otherwise, he is the happiest most easy going baby that loves to smile and laugh. I just wish he would perform more for the camera. Here are a few recent pics...

Happy Halloween

Luckily for Stockton we had 3 days worth of Halloween festivities: Our church Halloween carnival on Friday night, our church "Trunk or Treat" on Saturday night, and, of course, Trick or Treating on Sunday. It didnt take Stockton long to catch on to the Trick or Treating idea. He wouldnt let anyone just put candy in his bucket, he had to take it and inspect it first. It was almost like he couldnt believe people were just giving him candy for no reason. I had forgotten how much I loved Halloween as a kid, but I think it is even more fun seeing how much your own kids enjoy it. I am finding that to be true for just about everything these days.

Here are some pics of our little Trick and our little Treat from the weekend.

We only went Trick or Treating on 2 streets, but Logan couldnt even last that long before passing out.

At least he woke up for a few pictures.

Home

After moving to Idaho I have learned the truth in the generic phrase, "Home is where the heart is." It really is. We just returned from a short visit to Oklahoma to visit my family. It is always refreshing to return to my roots and be reminded of my childhood and to go "home". We recently went back to Utah for a few days to visit my family and that also was accompanied by those tender feelings of going "home". So how is it that both places can be so equally comforting to go home to? I can't help but wonder in the midst of my loneliness here in Idaho if this place will ever welcome me with the same familiarity and warmth as my childhood home and the home that I figured out who I was and who I wanted to become. I like to believe that it will because this is where I will build my family and my heart will always be with them and the memories we create. Just like it will always be at Ganny's house and Jerry's farm. And just like it will always be on 1223 and just off of Orchard Drive. Because those are the places that are filled with the people I love the most.
