The Classic Stockton Face
I know this may not be cute to anyone except me and Troy, but I just had to make a post about Stockton's classic wide eyed stare. It kind of freaks me out sometimes, but we think it is hilarious. He has this look on his face pretty much anytime he is awake. We just love this little guy so much!

Our Little Stockton
You asked for it, so here they are...some pictures of Stockton over the last few weeks. Sorry I havent been posting any pictures, but it turns out you dont have time to do much when you have a newborn. I dont know how people are even able to have more than one child. I swear I spend all of my time just feeding him and the rest of the time changing him and I'm not sure what else, but I know whatever it is we are doing it takes up the rest of the day. There isn't much time in the day to do much of anything else. Despite the lack of sleep and a clean house, we are just loving little Stockton to death and can't imagine our lives without him anymore. He has definately been a bleassing and we can't wait to see how he grows. I already feel like the time is going so fast and he is getting so big. He is really a sweet and good baby so far. We had a little trouble getting him to eat at first, but once he got that down, everything else has been so much easier. He is so good at night, he wakes up to eat about every 3 hours and then just goes right back to sleep. I dont know what I would do if he didnt want to sleep at night, we are both thankful for that. So far these are some of the things that he loves: EATING!!, his mother :), sleeping on daddy's chest, baths, his vibrating chair, riding in the car, and listening to mommy talk to his ear off while he watches me with his eyes open as wide as they possibly can. He is such a sweetie.
Stocton's first impressions of the outside world...
These are all of the people that Stockton met in his first few days here. Sorry we didnt get pictures of everyone, but I think we got most of you! :)

Pictures of Stockton
We just had pictures of Stockton taken by a friend from our neighborhood in Kaysville. She posted some of the pics on her photo blog, they turned out really cute! Click Here to check them out.
I'm following the Private trend...
Troy's paranoia is finally wearing me down now that we have a baby, so we have decided to make our blog private. Post your email address if you would like to still be able to view our blog and I will send you an invite. Thanks! :)

To all of you who think Stockton looks like his father...
I admit, when I look at Stockton, I definately see Troy, but I dont think he is totally Troy. I definately think he is going to be a mix of both of us. Up until today, this has been the youngest baby picture of Troy that we have had and, yes, I definately see a resemblance.
However, today while we were at Troy's dad's house, we were going through a bunch of old pictures and we came across Troy's newborn picture from the hospital. Let me just say that I am thanking my lucky stars that Stockton did not come out looking like this. I still can't look at this picture without cringing and to honest, even though it is labeled as Troy, I am convinced that with 5 boys, maybe it was mislabled. I don't even see Troy in this picture, much less Stockton. I guess we dont know what Stockton would have looked like if he was over 9 lbs though. I hope you all enjoy a good laugh at Troy's expense on this one...

Introducing Stockton Wyatt Jeffs...
Well, I am finally getting around to making a post. It's amazing how unappealing blogging and the computer in general have been this past week. It's been hard to want to do anything other than just sit around and hold our new bundle of joy. As alot of you already know, I was induced on January 20, but Stockton decided he wanted to be an Aquarius instead of a Capricorn, so he waited to be born until the 21st (his due date). It was a long and hard labor about 21 hours and about 3 1/2 hours of pushing. It's a long story, but I ended up having to do the hardest part of the labor without hardly any medication. Jenni, you should be proud of me even though I didnt do it by choice. Even though I wouldnt have believed it at the time, every minute of the pain was worth it. Little Stockton is definately the cutest little boy I have ever seen. Even if he is turning out to be more stubborn than his mom and his dad combined. I guess we couldnt have expected anything different. Here are some pictures documenting the experience so far...
My full term picture, right before we left for the hospital.
Waiting to get things started.
Just getting things checked out.
Mom holding him for the first time. I hate seeing myself so swollen from all the fluid!
The new Mom and Dad with baby Stockton.

Precious little baby boy.
So cute, despite the dorky hat.
Getting dressed to go home from the hospital. I can't believe how different he looks already. It looks like he has been at the beach tanning all weekend.
Relaxed to the max.
On our way out. I miss the hospital so much!
Just chillin with Daddy.

This is the best picture we got of his alien cone head. Luckily, it has gone away!

Twas the night before Christmas...
The decorations were hung on the walls with great care,
In hopes that Baby Stockton, soon would be there...
It really feels like we are anticipating the ultimate Christmas at our house tonight. The minutes are just slowly ticking by until it's time to go to bed and wake up to go to the hospital. We are so excited we can hardly stand it!

The time is almost here!
I just wanted to let everyone know that I am scheduled to be induced on Tuesday. I can't believe that we will get to meet our little boy in less than a week!! I hope that I will go into labor on my own before then, but if not, at least there is an end in sight! We are both really excited and looking forward to a long weekend of last minute preparations, cleaning, and relaxing together!!! :)

Baby Update and my new do!
So, we had our 36 week check up today and it was the most eventful dr appt I have had in a long time. We actually got to have an ultrasound and check for dialation and everything. I am dialated to 1 1/2 centimeters so far and he is positioned with his head down so we are making progress!!! Yay! We can't wait! The most noteworthy part of the check up, my dr thinks he already weighs 7 lbs!!! She thinks he will at least be an 8lb baby! Yikes! I am worrying that he will be too big for me to push out! I really need to lay of the sweets so he doesnt get much bigger. Here is a picture of his face from the ultrasound, it isnt really clear, but you can tell how chubby his cheeks already are! Isn't he so precious?? You can see his left hand on the side of his head and his right hand on his chin. We can't wait to meet him! This picture just makes it harder to think about anything other than holding him!!
The other exciting news of the day...my sister finally talked me into getting rid of my blonde hair after years and years. This isnt the best picture, but you can at least get the idea that I have brown hair now! I never thought this day would come, but I REALLY like it! I will have to post a better picture when it is freshly styled and I am not in my PJs. I needed to take a 36 week pic so I thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone. Thanks for finally talking me into changing Jen! Stay tuned for a better picture...

Thanksgiving and then some....
We got to host Thanksgiving with all of my family at our house this year for the first time ever. it was alot of fun and not nearly as stressful as we thought it would be. Troy had his first experience cooking the turkey and it turned out great despite the minor delay of eating. :)

The day after Thanksgiving we drove down to St. George/Zions to celebrate our anniversary. It was a nice quick getaway and the weather was beautiful. One of the highlights of the weekend, we found a street called Erin Dawn Circle. It was really cool even though Erin was spelled wrong.

My sisters also threw me an awesome baby shower. We got a lot of great stuff and it was so much fun having so many of my friends and family come and support us and baby Stockton. Thanks Amy and Jenni for your hard work putting everything together and thank you everyone for all of your generous gifts! I feel like we are finally prepared and ready for him to come any day now.

Weekend Recap
We had a really fun, busy weekend. We are trying to take advantage of being able to do whatever we want while we still can. We went out to dinner and a movie with some friends on Friday night. We saw Quantum of Solace and I LOVED it! I think I liked Casino Royale better, but you can't argue with Daniel Craig as James Bond. He is definately my hollywood boyfriend of the moment, that is until the next Batman movie comes out.
Here is my 30 week picture. I can't belive we are only 2 months away! Little Stockton will be here before we know it! Although, I dont feel like I can possibly get any bigger than I already am!
Saturday we took 2 of our nieces and our newphew, Coral, Rachel, and Isac downtown to Clark Planetarium for a 3-D movie and lunch at the Gateway. My sister talked us into also going to the ballet to see The Tempest because my grandma was buying everyone who wanted to go tickets. I was hesitant because, let's face it, ballet really isnt mine and Troy's thing. I think the kids enjoyed it, but my opinion of the ballet was definately reconfirmed and I wont get talked into going ever again. Not to discredit the dancers and their hard work and talent, but I am just not entertained by it and find it a little awkward to watch. I am convinced that the creative/artistic side of my brain was either removed or just never even developed.

After a long day downtown, we rode the Front Runner back up to our house and had a sleepover. we were all pretty worn out after the long day on the run, we all crashed in front of a movie and went to bed pretty early. The kids came to church with us and then we brought them all home. It was a fun weekend, but I definately don't think I want to inherit 3 kids between the ages of 6-10 at the same time. Hopefully when the kids come one at a time and start out as precious little babies, parenthood will be alot easier to handle...
